Custom Engagement
Your project doesn't always fit a template; tell us what you're building and we'll figure out the right approach together.
When None of the Standard Services Quite Fit
Sometimes the work doesn't map cleanly to a single offering. Maybe you need a combination of services, or you have a situation that doesn't show up on a services page. We're happy to scope those engagements too. Some examples of what that looks like:
- Inherited codebase rescue: You've taken on an app or service originally built by someone else and need it stabilized, modernized, or extended. We can audit the codebase, triage the issues, and work through them.
- Maintenance retainer: Ongoing dependency updates, security patches, App Store / Play Store compliance work, and incremental improvements on a monthly hour ceiling; for apps we built or apps we've inherited.
- One-off migration or refactor: A focused engagement with a clear goal: migrate to a new architecture, upgrade a framework, extract a module, or untangle a specific area of technical debt.
- Combination of services: A project that spans mobile, backend, and web in a way that doesn't fit neatly into a single offering page. We cover the full stack and can scope work that crosses those lines.
- Something else entirely: If you're not sure which of our services fits, or you're not sure if what you need is something we do, just tell us. The worst we can say is it's not the right fit.
How It Works
A custom engagement starts the same way every engagement does: a short conversation about what you're building, what isn't working, and what a good outcome looks like. From there we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit, what shape the work would take, and what a first step might cost. No pitch deck, no vague estimates.
If your situation calls for a more structured scoping process, a Discovery Roadmap is a focused discovery engagement scoped to your situation. It delivers a prioritized backlog, build risk assessment, and technical options, before any development begins.
Tell Us What You're Working On
Describe the situation as specifically as you can: the platform, the current state, and what success looks like. The more context you give us, the more useful our response will be.
